Cheap and cheerful

I filled this terracotta pot with petunias and lobelia from the market. Wondered if they would be as good as the others I had got from the garden centre that were bigger and about twice as expensive. Turns out they are much nicer flowers.

RE: Cheap and cheerful

I bet those are the really big F1 flowers that were the latest and greatest in the 80's. My experience was that they were a disaster in the rain but I guess they look great this year ;) And you can't go wrong with Lobelia.

RE: Cheap and cheerful

Those DO look great, Geoff! I gave up on Petunias...but all my Lobelia seem to be doing great this year!
