I've just been at it since April of this year, but I've got this along with several other beds going thus far. Things seem to be going well. Thought I would introduce myself and hang around a while. Also posted the other half of this photo (with the $50 pond). So anyway... Hi!

Byron, That's a very impressive beginning. I love the colors! Your pond looks very realistic and natural. Must be great to have access to such pretty rocks.

RE: new gardener

Wow Byron! That looks really beautiful. You should be proud. The rocks are gorgeous, and ditto Memo, very natural looking. You have a good eye. Keep posting!

RE: new gardener

well, about those rocks... not too far up the road (as is the case just about everywhere in the country) there are several new developments going up. they use big tractors to level the ground and push up all these big rocks. usually, they are happy to have you clean up their "debris" for free. you've just gotta have something to haul them with. oh and here's another pic. :0)

Looks like you're doing fine!!!The garden looks like its been there for years. I like rocks too....
When we go out in the car I'll spy a "good" rock on the side of the road and try to get DH to bring it home for me. They always look smaller from inside the car!!!
