I live in the part of TX where we don`t see hummers.I saw my first hummingbird 2 years ago and wanted to attract these beauties into my garden ever since(my husband didn`t see it then ,didn`t beleive me and said it was probably a hummingbird moth).I started planting all those hummingbird attracting flowers with no luck and look who showed up on my SUNFLOWERS this morning.
I`m still excited!!
Lyuda.

Good for you. I take it was a lucky shot of the hummer. Am I right in thinking that he was flying upwards so could so easily have got out of shot?

"If you plant it, they will come." I'm paraphrasing, of course. ;-) You've a right to be excited!!

That is a great 2-fer. It is hard to get a photo of one of your subjects much less 2 at the same time

So glad you got to see a hummer and getting a pic is a bonus. We are blessed with lots of hummers this time of year and they keep me going as I work at my computer during the day. I have a feeder on my window and enjoy the shows they put on!
