What are the names of the flowers in this combination?

That is a very vibrant combination. I love it. What are the purple flowers?

The orange and yellow flowers are your standard African Marigold. The purple are a variety of (unidentified) astilbe that were already in the yard when I moved in.

This astilbe is a really wonderful plant -- nothing eats it, it doesn't get any diseases, it's drought tolerant in shade and good soil, it spreads modestly by runners and makes for a nice naturalized look, and its blooms last longer than any other type of astilbe I own (any other plant, period -- except my Zinnia pumila). I'll be collecting seed this Fall, in case anyone's interested. ;-)

Thanks for the compliments!

Wow! Knocks my socks off! Really beautiful. I wish my astilbe looked as good. I have almost lost mine to the drought this summer.

No wrong color combo in the flower world, in my book. Lovely!

I love it too! Outstanding! I too don't have a subtle bone in my body.

One year Burpee came out with zinnias in this color combination too. Grew them and they were beautiful. Like your flower combination!
