Recommendations for privacy shrub/vine

Hi!

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a potted shrub or vine to enhance the privacy of our deck. I'd like to put the pots directly in front of the slatted railings as shown in the picture. Of highest priority is finding a plant that could reach approximately 5-6' in height but that also doesn't require a huge pot.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

It is hard to say when there is no zone identified.

However, I would say clematis. There are many hybrids plus the species which grow all over the US, I think. Be sure to do your research to select the plants that will do best in your area. BTW Some need pruning, some don't.
