These shots were taken at Scott Arboretum, Swarthmore, PA, and friends' gardens. The white Echinacea is 'Fragrant Angel', and really brought the swallowtails out in full force.

Thank you, everyone! It's a Nikon Coolpix 950. I use it like a point-and-shoot camera. A friend fixed the settings for me.

You know you've got great clarity when you can see every vein in a dragonfly's wings!!! Beautiful pictures, thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you, flowergirl! I noticed he had some damage ( notched areas ) to his left wings, which is on the right of the photo. I don't see this detail when I shoot but view it on my monitor later.

Words can not express how great your pictures are, this must have been what God envisioned when he created them (plants and animals).

Great Work!

Fantabulous shots! I love the one of the echinacea and the rest of them too but it looks so pretty to have so many in such a small space at a time.

Stunning!

Thanks everyone! I must say the Echinacea was fragrant and had four butterflies in close proximity. I could only capture three in the photo.
NikkoBlue, I agree with you!

What awesome photos! I agree with NikkoBlue also.

What type of flowers are in the first couple of photos? I love the colors and I want some!

 o
RE: More butterflies and a dragonfly

The first ones are Asclepias curassavica, member of the milkweed family and an annual. I should have seed later as my own plants are just now beginning to flower.
Thanks for the positive feedback!
