Trees full of Monarchs!

| I just got home and DH called me come out back. Our Maple and Cherry trees are full of Monarch Butterflies. They are hanging from the branchs. DH said that a couple of hours age they were fluttering all over the yard. Now it looks as though they've settled in for the night. I've never ever seen this happen here before.
Not a great pic but the best DH could do.
All the yellow or orangey bits that look like dried leaves are butterflies. Could this be part of the migration south?
We've had alot of them in our yard this summer as well but not like this!

| Oh my gosh, mush, that is amazing! I have never seen such a spectacle! Down here in the FL forum many of us have noticed that the monarchs have not been so abundant this year. Our milkweed is actually still flowering and intact for the most part. I see where all the monarchs have been..... up your way! Thanks for sharing the photo! |
