I got sidetracked yesterday after seeing your pix...because I started to investigate if your Yellow Jacket was close in looks to my Paper Wasps (which are beneficial to your garden). They are similar & I kept looking & comparing for SO long, I had to get to making dinner...so I couldn's post a reply! LOL

Neat Praying Mantis! Neat garden spider! I believe it's a type of Argiope. For some reason, grasshoppers give me the creeps. Hee hee! I got a couple pix of Katydids the other day. May post soon if I'm able.

Which Morning Glories are those dark blue? Very pretty!
