What are these - I love!

I love the little lime green things in this pot. Are they a type of grass, succulent? What could they be?

They are a type of moss. Can't think of the name but will try to check tomorrow.It will grow outside in the ground and it is hardy here in zone 5.

actually, the green mounded plants in the planter in this photo are a sedum, tiny buttons maybe, or golden acre

Scotch Moss > Sagina subulata > Heath Pearlwort, it gets tiny white flowers, the darker green version is referred to as Irish Moss. This is the chartreuse version and it is actually not a moss, but more of a regular plant that likes to dry out between waterings and get some sun. Whereas a true moss likes it shady and damp. I have it in similar planters, it either looks great, or crappy depending how happy it is.
