OooEe, nice shot on that close-up, shrubs n bulbs! It looks luminescent!

RE: Its autumn crocus time

Very nice. I am happy mine came back for me but why did they have to do it when we were getting a week straight of rain? I have some white ones that are growing up between some other plants and actually look very nice but others are completely flopped.

RE: Its autumn crocus time

Great bit of October cheer. I agree, Rosemarie, the individual shot is absolutely luminescent.

I would like to try these. I have a vole problem that makes springtime crocus tricky. S-n-B, have you ever encountered that difficulty with these?

RE: Its autumn crocus time

Touch wood, I've never had a problem with voles. Also, squirrels have never troubled my bulbs. This autumn though the squirrels, possibly just one, have made themselves a real pest digging in every patch of remotely disturbed soil including pots and seed trays. Luckily I haven't been planting crocus.

BTW, the squirrel has learned to fear me ;)
