I'm 90% sure there were no Cyclamen there in the spring, not even empty pots. I wonder where they keep them? Some of these would be nice specimens even out of flower.
I think there are huge greenhouses lower down, near to where some of the trial plots are. I once donated some plants of primula specuicola to them and that is where they would have gone. I think the chap told me that they sometimes let societies go round....and they were sometimes a bit light fingered!!! I would love to know some of what they have behind the scenes. Incidentally Ness Gardesn is very noisy. They are rebuilding the visitor centre and making some major changes to quite a few areas so there are diggers and builders in quite a few areas.
