I've added new photos to the WeBuyItGreen Organic Garden page so that you can see what our Japanese Maples look like in autumn. Cultivars include Otto's Dissectum, Green Filigree, Red Select, Beni Maiko, Koto Ito Komachi, and Coral Bark Maple.

Hi Webuyitgreen. My maple tree is red. I'm limited in space and I think I made a bad chioce by planting it in a planter's area behind a bush of a hydrangea. The poor maple tree is crowded by the summer blooming hydrangea. Webuyitgreen, do you think I should move my maple to another planter area more of a open space or leave it there because hydrangea will go dormant after summer. Here is So. Cal we don't have a big yard. The pool in our yard is surrounded by cement and I love gardening and don't have much to work with - only some planters built in on the edge of the walls and the house. Thank you.
