I have recently lost 36 trees in lower section of my backyard due to "beavers". The area (aprox. 35ft x 75ft)is now an eyesore & I would like to plant some type of groundcover to soften it. Any recommendations for Central Arkansas? I would prefer something that is fast-growing & does not get too tall...I'm concerned about it becoming a snake haven. The area slopes at about a 45 degree angle going down to a creek & has poor, rocky soil. I know very little about plants so will be very grateful for suggestions.
