what kind of plant is this? help with ID please

All- I have 2 of these in my yard. I am not sure what kind of plant this is. I plan to take them out to plant something more in line with my taste. I'd like to post for someone to take, I hate to just dump it in the green bin...but before I do so I'd like to know what I am offering. Thx all.
