Fall buckeyes

Here are a few A. parviflora in a grove at a nursery where I work Saturdays. This plant deserves a spot in every garden.

yes they do! a favorite native plant for me.
did you notice whether or not the crop of buckeyes was a good one on these plants for this year?
mine made less than a handful as compared to a bucket full last year.
i recall that we had some strong wind/rain storms during peak flowering this year and that seems to affect them.

On those in picture, I did not notice. They have a much smaller plant elsewhere on their property and it was loaded down with fruit. I know what you mean about last year's crop. They asked me to gather buckeyes from an even larger plant, way at the back of the property. I filled up two of those plastic grocery bags!
