Hi, I live in Malta and can't find any emulsifying ointment to use for a herbal remedy for chilblains. Can anyone tell me if it is ok to use bees wax instead?

Thanks

RE: Emulsifying ointment

chilblains in malta? Doesn't it have to be cold to have chilblains?
I don't know what emulsifying ointment is... there are emulsifying WAXES... you could google either emulsifying waxes or ewax. These have a chemical that allow you to mix the wax with water without separation.
If you are just making an ointment, beeswax will be okay, if you are making a lotion, where you need to mix in some water, it will separate without an emulsifying agent.
