Is Epilobium Parviflorum White Willow Bark or they're different?

| I read the Epilobium Parviflorum (Willow herb) is for prostatitis but could not find it in a store. The GNC store people asked me whether it is the White Willow Bark. I did not know they are the same or different. Do you know whether the Epilobium Parviflorum is the White Willow Bark or they are different? Thank you for your answer. |

| Absolutely not the same. It is one of the problems with using common names as opposed to botanical names. Just look up "nettle" and see how many different plants have that as part of their name. All those "nettles" are very different plants. Epilobium Parviflorum is a small, weedy herbaceous plant. White willow or Salix alba is a tree. Look up the botanical names in google for more info and pictures. FataMorgana |
