Mugwort Essential Oil

Hi,

Does anyone have experience using Mugwort essential oil? I have read that it is toxic. Is it possible to use it as a perfume if it's diluted? How do people generally use mugwort in its essential oil form? I know it can't be ingested. Thanks

Never used it. Never intend to - I don't find the mugwort plant all that appealing in fragrance. I'm not familiar with if it is or isn't toxic - I'm sure google has lots to say. But I think I'd pass on using something toxic even if diluted on my skin as a perfume. There are too many other beautiful and safe scents.

I have it growing in my yard. It was a gift from some friends of mine that are from Japan where it is used medicinally. Here is some information for you to read http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/m/mugwor61.html. I have not, nor do I intend to use it as anything other than a specimen plant.
