Hi all-

Does anyone here have the recipe for White Flower Oil? I know it contains wintergreen, eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint, and camphor but have no idea as to the proportions, or which oil to use as base.

Thought I'd try making some rather than buying it.

Thx!

dont know if this is truly the percentages, but this is what i found on the internet :

http://www.itmonline.org/jintu/whiteflower.htm

Wintergreen 40%
Eucalyptus 18%
Peppermint 15%
Menthol 15%
Camphor 6%
Lavender 6%

http://vitanetonline.com/description/WF0002/vitamins/White-Flower-Analgesic-Balm/
Wintergreen 40%
Menthol 15%
Camphor 6%
Inactive ingredients:
Eucalyptus 18%
Peppermint 15%
Lavender 6%

i checked several different sites that listed the percentages very similarly, even amazon.com offered some balm w/ the same percentages.

i would think that it would be best using it similar consistency to a lip balm, so not as an oil but rather as a balm

i like your idea, and found a site
http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf169467.tip.html
that should give you an idea of things to try it on.
hopefully that helps, let me know how it went and what you ended up doing if you dont mind because i would like to try this as well

Thx for the info! That is exactly what I was looking for :)

I have ordered some menthol crystals from ebay. As soon as they arrive, I will be ready to proceed. I'll let you know how it goes. My current thinking is to make an oil and then add beeswax to it to make a balm.

Thx again for your great research!
