is there a way amplify/intensify smell of essential oil?

Is there a way to increase the smell of essential oils (ie citronella or lavender)? I put it in the garden to deter pests and it works but I'd like to increase the range of the smell. Using more of it is not a solution as it's somewhat expensive.

Or perhaps there is a product that emulates the smell of pure citronela or lavender essential oil but with more potentcy?

If not, then is there a way to dilute the essential oil without it losing it's potentcy?

Essential oil is the most powerful form of any fragrance. There's no way to make it stronger than that.
