What to do with Lavender?

| My mom bought 2 small lavender plants this spring. I don't know the variety, there are no blossoms on it. It has been growing under the pine tree in the shade, it has grown quit a bit. She has been asking me what she can do with it, anything besides sachets, like recipes? Can you make a jelly or something? What is the proper care for it during the winter? Do we leave it in the ground? Or does it need to be brought in? We live in zone 5 in the U.S. |
