Herbal Asthma Relief

I've been dealing with asthma for a few months now. I refuse to take medication for it. Has anyone had any luck with herbs to alleviate their asthma?

Actual asthma, diagnosed with respiratory testing and everything?

The only herb I can think of that might help true asthma is "Ephedra sinensis" which is hard to find and the amount of ephedrine-like substances you get per dose varies wildly. Unless you have some means of doing an assay you might get nothing or too much.

Lobelia gives some respiratory relief, but the line between relaxing the bronchiii and making you puke uncontrollably is pretty thin. It's common name is "puke weed".

NEITHER ONE can do anything for an asthma attack.
