Where to find mints??

I have been trying to find some mints for tea for my daughter for Christmas. So far I have peppermint, spearmint, orange, apple and chocolate mints. Does anyone know where I might be able to find others at this time of year???

oops!! Sorry for the confusion. I mean plants not dried herbs, and I haven't had much luck on the plant exchange.

| You may wish to ask as well on the Herbs forum. That forum is more plant centric than this one. I would suggest ordering plants for spring shipping - that way your daughter doesn't have to try to keep plants alive indoors during the winter months. Anything available now has been in a southern nursery or in a greenhouse and won't be acclimated to colder outdoor temperatures, hence keeping them indoors. I wouldn't expect mints to love indoor conditions very much and so be harder to overwinter indoors. Personally I would order plants for spring shipping, get some cute little pots and print out some mint pix to go in them. It's the kind of gift I'd like! For a mint source, Richters (out of Canada) carries different mint varieties including the Westerfield ones. The plants from Richters are small but I've had good luck with the stuff I've ordered from them. Search through back posts on the Herbs forum if you want other sources. FataMorgana |
