I was trying to find my join date and it says April 2001. I found my former self and it says April 2001 also, although I found a post dating 1999. I know I was a member before then.

I think March of '01 is when GW started requiring registration, so a lot of us that were around before that have sign-up dates listed as March or April of '01.
I was trying to figure out how long ago I found GW, myself. I didn't discover the Houseplants Forum until probably '00, but I'd been at GW for quite a while before that. I'd tried CP's first (how I accidentally found GW-- doing a search for CP suppliers), then ponds, and then I hung out quite a while on the Plant Exchange...maybe a year or so... before moving over to C&S for a while and finally settling in here in Houseplants (though I still frequent C&S, too.)

It's the delightful people such as you two posters who make the forum so eminently frequentable.
