Unidentified House Plant Needs Pruning

I bought this house plant a couple of years ago at home depot and I'm not sure what it is. It has gotten progressively taller and all of its growth is at the top. I would like to cut it back and encourage more growth at the bottom if possible, but without knowing what kind of plant it is, I can't look up pruning advice. Can someone help me identify this plant? (And if you have pruning advice, I'd love to hear that too!) Thanks!
