That sounds like way too much water for most plants. I would stop watering it so often. Does it have drainage holes?

I don't know of any plant that needs a cup of water every day. In full sun my China Doll can be watered every couple of days, but that's about it.

Only water when the soil feels dry when you stick your finger in it.

Your plant looks like {{gwi:2117987}} to me. I've not heard of anyone keeping this inside as a house plant before. Usually grown in full sun outside. It may be a true annual, IDK.

I agree with celosia. This is an annual and now that it is getting near the end of flowering it will die. It's a temporary house plant.

Are you emptying out the yellow pail? If not, then based on your watering schedule, your plant has basically drowned from too much water.

It is indeed Celosia . Your annual plant may still produce seeds, giving you a chance to grow more next season.
