Are there maybe some aphids living on the plant somewhere? Or even mealy bugs - I had mealy on a plant last week, and set it outside until I had time to treat it, looked at it a few days later and it had ants running around all over it. I took only a quick look, but it seemed most of the mealy were dead.

Thanks, FW! I looked all over it, (with my glasses on and off) and the only critters I found were ants, about 50 in all. Really weird, an ant colony usually has MANY more members than that. I know there will be wildlife when taking plants outside. They all came in at the end of Nov. and this palm was getting its' 1st drink since then yesterday.
