container garden with snake plant

After many years of not having houseplants (a move, a kid that ate them, etc.) I've decided that I need some green in my house :). I want to do a container garden with plants that call for low/med light and even watering (pothos, spider plant, etc.)

When I was at the nursery though I saw a snake plant and decided to get it too, not remembering that it prefers much less water than the others.

Do you think I could put the snake plant at the end of my container (it's a window box container--18" long and oblong) and just water it less than the others, or should I just get a separate pot for it and put something else in the container that has the same watering needs as its companions?

Thanks,
Kristen
