Pachira (Money Tree) Problem

Hi All,

I live in Canada, in a cold part. Yesterday I purchased a Nice Pachira plant from Home Depot. It was green and nice. I had a nice pot at home ready to go. About 2 inches bigger then the store pot. I repotted it and it looked great. Last Nights temp was -30 (C) about -22 (F). So it was bought, then had a quick chill and was repotted....maybe not the best series of events....oops. Its in a great part of the house and gets a fair amount of East and West light. After repotting I watered until it started coming out of the drain holes and haven't again since. Today (Approx 24 hrs later) it looks a little withered around the sides of the leaves. I am a little concerned about it. If I am caring for it properly, should it all come back?

Probably just cold damage. If it was something you did it wouldn't show any signs like that in that in such a short amount of time. It should bounce back with new growth as I doubt just a few moments outside in those temperatures would affect it severely inside.
It's always fun buying plants in the winter up here isn't it?
And next time I'd wait to bring a plant home until the temp is at least above 0....Or have some bag or something to cover it to protect it from the cold on the trip to your car.

Perfect! Thank you! Yeah it is fun buying plants here in the winter lol. I moved into my new house mid dec, and a nice tree type plant would look awesome in that spot....couldn't wait anymore to get one..haha. Thanks for the tip! And welcoming! I didn't know this site existed until today. I'll be using it more often
