Your cutting is quite large..Looks more like a full plant.

It's suggested a temp drop at night is best for plants. 10-15 degrees.

Perhaps the cold prompted inflorescence.

I've had cuttings form *peduncles* while sitting in a glass of water on the kitchen table. Cuttings of mature material will do that from time to time. Enjoy!

Will, Pug is a Hoya rooting expert. She's done wonders with the teeniest cuttings.

I'm not saying Josh isn't, but I've seen Pug's Hoyas.

That isn't unusual with Hoyas. But also remember that a cutting is an old plant, not like a seedling.
