Fertilize 1/4 to 1/2 strength at least twice a month during the prime growing season, say March through November. During the Winter, cut the fertilizer strength to 1/8 to 1/4. This is just some general advice to stay on the safe side. Water and fertilize through the bloom period, and then reduce watering for 2 - 4 weeks after the main bloom.

I don't know what Jack's fertilizer is, so I can't comment.

Thanks very much Josh. A nursery here recommend jacks fertilizer. I use the all-purpose. But there are different kinds. I think that is a professional fertilizer. They do make a bloom Buster so I have to read about that.

Don't worry about bloom boosters. Cooler fall temps and longer nights start the budding process. Jack's is fine to use.
