Frost in southern Alabama! that is truly amazing in the most terrible way! Here we freeze....pretty much everynight for 5 months it seems. I have also seen daffodils anctiously poking their leaves through the snow

For sure. Up here in Ottawa we just had a snow storm this morning. If someone were to wake up from a comma and look outside they would think it was January. This time 2 years ago it was in the lower 20's (Celsius) and the snow was gone. It's unseasonably cold up here and the snow hasn't even begun to melt yet. We will probably still have snow in June!

Yep, frost tonight, 31 degrees F at 31 degrees latitude. Really cruel and unusual after already having some sleeping-with-windows-open weather. Tonight should finally be the last of that, holy tamolé I'm so sick of cold this winter. As soon as some heat comes around, I'll try to send some up! Unfortunately, looks like it will be moist.

Things are warming up rapidly in this area, next monday mid to upper 70's! The soil is thawed so now we can plant certain cool season vegetables and flowers, but it will be at least 5 more weeks before it is warm enough to plant things like squash. We still get regular frost at night, but it was already 55 this morning (7:00am)Im so exited for the growing season:) We also have pussy willows, snowdrops,tulip and daffodil leaves, soon to be magnolia blossoms,forsythias are swelling......I LOVE SPRING!
