What a great idea for a thread Elkay! Unfortunately I can't find ONE plant that has any pink on it! Wait, I might be able to come up with something. It never occured to me I might have something. Beautiful plants Elkay along with Tiffany's. Tiffany, where in the heck did you get that jade? I looks liek one of mine. I love it. Mike

Mike, thanks! That lil' jade showed up in the mail late last summer. If you were sharing your plant before then, it might be "yours." LOL! I can't wait to see what it can do this summer. Already an amazing amount of beauty from just a few leaves. Teen, your plants sound very pretty!

Purple, what a pretty little jade! I wonder what kind it is. I have a few pink or pink-ish plants I can contribute:) First, a pink-blooming Kalanchoe, starting to go by after over 5 months of blooming!

FrugalFanny, I'm not sure, but by the part of the echeveria plant you show it could be Perle Von Nuremberg.

FF, LOVE your plants! Awesome pink-ness. I don't know how to confirm or deny your suggestion about the jade, but made a note of it. Bedtime, that's what attracts me to F. elastica, variegated or not. FPT, I've never seen leaves like that - my new fav Oxalis!

Just got this and posted in the Aroid forum looking for an id. Possible dieffenbachia hybrid. I bought it just for the pink. That and the lady says its new. I wish I would have listened better. Pink going in a new black pot!

Thanks! I did some more searching and found out its called Ag. Lipstick - Siam Aurora. I got it for my daughter who loves pink, I'm hoping to get her more interested in gardening. "Do you want a plant in your room?" "No." "What if its pink?" "Yes! When?" Kids

some reason i cant show pics of my plants through my i phone 4 anymorwe
|
you'd think it's summer - but this is my impatiens and how well she's just suddenly gave me this mass of blooms. when all last summer there was only a sparse one here or there. I guess having those grow lights on for 15 hour days is worth it's weight in gold. :) she's in dreadful need of a larger pot. Wonder how big she'd get if she were in a 10" pot instead of a 4" one. :)

Hooray, my hoya started growing more leaves, and i can now contribute to the pink thread! Only new growth is pink, which turns almost completely white by falls end. New stems are also redish-pink. There will be a LOT more pink when i can put it outside, but 3 little leaves is all i've got so far. Hopefully at least one of my tillandsia's have pink flowers. Won't know until summer...i hope.

Mike, what did you post? First is Aglaonema? Second is? I'll die if I don't find out what the third is! Well, not really, but please tell us! A Tradescantia?
|
Hi Purple! I'm mostly a lurker, and maybe commandeering the response, but I can confirm that the third is a Tradescantia. I was going to post photos of mine 'til I got to the end of the thread. I got some from Pepper's last year, and they list it as "TRADESCANTIA ALBIFLORA MINIMA RAINBOW." I was actually, as a lurker, gonna hassle you about whether you'd like to do any trades for it! (Or also for the variegated T. pallida, which is purple/neon pink stripes in the way only a monocot can pull off, if you don't already have it.)
|
That second of mike's photos looks like variegated oleander to me...is it, Mike? They are all beautiful.
