What a great idea for a thread Elkay! Unfortunately I can't find ONE plant that has any pink on it!

Wait, I might be able to come up with something. It never occured to me I might have something.

Beautiful plants Elkay along with Tiffany's.

Tiffany, where in the heck did you get that jade? I looks liek one of mine. I love it.

Mike

 o
RE: Pink!

Mike, thanks! That lil' jade showed up in the mail late last summer. If you were sharing your plant before then, it might be "yours." LOL! I can't wait to see what it can do this summer. Already an amazing amount of beauty from just a few leaves.

Teen, your plants sound very pretty!

 o
RE: Pink!

Purple, what a pretty little jade! I wonder what kind it is.

I have a few pink or pink-ish plants I can contribute:)

First, a pink-blooming Kalanchoe, starting to go by after over 5 months of blooming!

 o
RE: Pink!

FrugalFanny, I'm not sure, but by the part of the echeveria plant you show it could be Perle Von Nuremberg.

 o
RE: Pink!

FF, LOVE your plants! Awesome pink-ness. I don't know how to confirm or deny your suggestion about the jade, but made a note of it.

Bedtime, that's what attracts me to F. elastica, variegated or not.

FPT, I've never seen leaves like that - my new fav Oxalis!

 o
RE: Pink!

marguerite: thanks for the suggestion on the echevieria ID. i looked at some on google and mine is so craving more light it's hard to tell for sure

 o
RE: Pink!

One of the few pink plants here : Sometimes it's an AV and other times it's a Chimera but always is a fav.

 o
RE: Pink!

Just got this and posted in the Aroid forum looking for an id. Possible dieffenbachia hybrid. I bought it just for the pink. That and the lady says its new. I wish I would have listened better. Pink going in a new black pot!

 o
RE: Pink!

LittleL - that's pretty. An Aglaonema.

 o
RE: Pink!

Thanks! I did some more searching and found out its called Ag. Lipstick - Siam Aurora. I got it for my daughter who loves pink, I'm hoping to get her more interested in gardening.

RE: Pink!

some reason i cant show pics of my plants through my i phone 4 anymorwe

 o
RE: Pink!

you'd think it's summer - but this is my impatiens and how well she's just suddenly gave me this mass of blooms. when all last summer there was only a sparse one here or there.

I guess having those grow lights on for 15 hour days is worth it's weight in gold. :)

she's in dreadful need of a larger pot. Wonder how big she'd get if she were in a 10" pot instead of a 4" one. :)

 o
RE: Pink!

Here I am as promised. And here is my Variegated nameless AV

 o
RE: Pink!

Hooray, my hoya started growing more leaves, and i can now contribute to the pink thread! Only new growth is pink, which turns almost completely white by falls end. New stems are also redish-pink. There will be a LOT more pink when i can put it outside, but 3 little leaves is all i've got so far. Hopefully at least one of my tillandsia's have pink flowers. Won't know until summer...i hope.

 o
RE: Pink!

Sorry i could not get the camera focused on the new growth, currently have a bad one.

 o
RE: Pink!

there should be pink at the edges of my jade plants leaves

 o
RE: Pink!

My Newest Pink! :)

Aglaonema Valentine in her new window space. Brought her in to work so my cat would stop exploring her leaves.

My Isabelle - likes to leave teeth marks - so I had to move this new girl out quick. :)

 o
RE: Pink!

Mike, what did you post? First is Aglaonema? Second is? I'll die if I don't find out what the third is! Well, not really, but please tell us! A Tradescantia?

 o
RE: Pink!

Hi Purple! I'm mostly a lurker, and maybe commandeering the response, but I can confirm that the third is a Tradescantia. I was going to post photos of mine 'til I got to the end of the thread. I got some from Pepper's last year, and they list it as "TRADESCANTIA ALBIFLORA MINIMA RAINBOW." I was actually, as a lurker, gonna hassle you about whether you'd like to do any trades for it! (Or also for the variegated T. pallida, which is purple/neon pink stripes in the way only a monocot can pull off, if you don't already have it.)

They are all beautiful.

 o
RE: Pink!

With most of another summer under our belts, what's 'pink' out there? I've made a list of everything mentioned here already, and added a bunch of others. Most genuses have many candidates, so most of these are just a genus name... some are whole leaves of pink, some are little flashes of color on the leaves of an otherwise plain green plant.

Aglaonema Chinese evergreen
Aloe
Alternanthera calico plant
Anigozanthos
Aptenia
Begonia
Breynia
Bromeliad
Caladium
Calathea
Cissus discolor Rex Begonia vine
Coleus
Columnea
Cordyline Ti plant
Crassula
Cryptanthus
Dracaena marginata 'Tricolor'
Echeveria
Euphorbia formerly Pedilanthes
Ficus
Fittonia nerve or mosaic plant
Fuchsia
Graptopetalum
Hemigraphis waffle plant
Hoya
Hypoestes polka-dot plant
Impatiens
Ipomoea batatas sweet potato vine
Kalanchoe
Iresine
Ludesia
Maranta prayer plant
Oxalis
Pachyveria
Peperomia
Perilla 'Magilla'
Philodendron
Pilea
Plectranthus
Pseuderanthemum
Saintpaulia African violet
Schlumbergera Thanksgiving cactus
Sedeveria
Sedum stonecrop
Stromanthe
Syngonium arrowhead vine
Trachelospermum asiaticum Asiatic Jasmine
Tradescantia fluminensis variegated

Excel put them in ABC order for us, yay. Anything else?

 o
RE: Pink!

Here's a fun picture of my Ti plant from around April '11. This is my longest-living plant, I've had it since August of 2007. I thought it would be fun to have a houseplant in my dorm. It survived my first roommate peeing on it and then trying to mask the "evidence" with cologne.

(Freshman year of college wasn't the first time I tried my hand at houseplants. When I was in elementary school, I had a large houseplant collection but killed them off due to overwatering. A fifth grader getting crazy with a watering can...imagine that.)

Of course, the plant had its finest hour right when I had to move out. I've been trying since then to get it back to this color. Being in a below ground, north-facing window was not kind to it. I think it's got some glory days ahead of it in its new home.

RE: Pink!

While I'm at it, here's a picture of my currently blooming AV! Another distressed plant rack find (from 2009, I think), but admittedly one that was hardly distressed.

 o

better late than never!

 o
RE: Pink!

DH took this pic of a hummingbird, with Begonia flowers and pink Syngonium leaves.

 o
RE: Pink!

DH is a good shot! Nice catch!

Pink syngies are always neat to me...could so see them running up something with some red caladiums at the bottom just to set it off.

here's another look at my aggie...

No the last one is Aeonium Kiwi.

 o
RE: Pink!

'marquest, is the LAST BUT ONE kalanchoe loaded with babies? ' - that means the one BEFORE last;
so is it kalanchoe?!

 o
RE: Pink!

Yes Kalanchoe daigremontiana,

 o
RE: Pink!

Got a couple plants yesterday, first Peperomia. Can't tell if it's P. clusifolia 'Jelly' or P. magnoliafolia 'Rainbow.' Leaning toward the first but welcome your opinions!

Also got this Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi. It had 2 other stems, but they wouldn't stand up and are now in 4 other places.

Having some regret about not getting this Cordyline.

New sweet potato vine leaf on front porch yesterday:

 o
RE: Pink!

Very nice Purple. I agree the first one looks like clusifolia Jeli.

My book spells it "Jeli"

RE: Pink!

Such pretty plants! I grow many pink plants too! Especially house plants so I can keep my indoor garden colorful in the winter. I'll she a couple photos. The first one is my earth star that I got from lowe's in April. I'm glad I moved most of my plants outside for the summer, because I got amazing results because of long hours of natural sun light.

 o
RE: Pink!

Here is a basket I made for my daughter's room.

 o

A grafted cactus to add to the pink foliage plant collection.

 o

By the way,..I think I missed responding to something you said to me on another thread(unless I'm confused again)and I hadn't noticed it until later,so please accept my apologies(assuming I'm not confused about this).

Also I just noticed we have the same birthday...NEAT!! :)

 o
RE: Pink!

Hi Asleep,
Thank you so much! I don't remember you missing a response from me and if you did don't worry :)
I think it's awesome that we share the same birthday!

 o
RE: Pink!

No kidding,right?!

Sure isn't everyday that run into someone who shares my birthday...wouldn't it be nuts if we were born in the same year too?
