It really is very pretty

The leaves remind me of a variegated Pedilanthus. It may not be quite the same but Pedilanthus can be grown indoors.

I don't know abt its light needs, but I'm sure if you do a Search for Pedilanthus (looks like what it is & you said the tag says so too), I'm sure you can find out.

Am guessing it wants a fair amount of direct sun from how I've seen them growing in FLA.

This is my first post to GW, so bear with me! You pic looks very similar, if not identical to my Euphorbia tithymaloides (which is often labeled as a Pedilanthus). I got mine from a cutting of my grandmothers plant which she always called a Razorback, but I find more commonly referred to as a Devil's Backbone.

Light requirements are variable, it does fairly well in the East facing window that I have it in year round, although you only get the pink coloration in slightly stronger light. The water requirements are tougher to nail down than light, the only way they can tell you they need water is to drop ALL their leaves, my mom always ends up with a very defoliated plant by the time spring rolls around. They also have a hard time with too much water, again causing defoliation. Once you find the right balance the foliage with stay year round.

A bigger concern for most people when investigating this plant is the toxicity of the milky white sap that it produces. It is a latex based sap and can be a skin irritant and is known to be especially dangerous if it gets in your eyes. Personally I have never had any trouble with it. I prune the plant regularly, but I'm careful not to slather myself in the sap =)

This is mine, no pink it mostly faded this winter, but it will come back this summer.

It is indeed Pedilanthus tithymaloides variegata, now classed with Euphorbia. I have a cutting from Florida I grow in a south facing window, and the leaves turn vivid pink in the bright light. A nice plant, in my estimation.
