| Hi not sure what forum to post this, if I am wrong here, sorry....my sea onion is getting soft, this started when the vine started to grow...is this normal ???? I don't want to loose this plant..help....linda |

| Climbing Onion, AKA Sea Onion is a Bowiea in genus and also a succulent. I've not grown this one from what I've seen it's not normal to do that, they sometimes start small pups as they get the good growth going. The very bottom of bulb is a thin plate that root grows out of( A crown in African Violet terms) It doesn't like to be wet. Just guessing.... Maybe to deep and setting it on top of soil line could be the fix. Also consider it coming out of the outter catch pot too.
