anyone how to revive this bougainvillea it was kept in my basement over winter its still alive i scratched the main stem is still dark green

the smaller stems are dead bone dry

Mine pretty much defoliates over winter but starts to leaf out about now. Give it light and be careful not to overwater and see what happens.

the thing is the basement was not cold enough for it to go dormant it leafed out a few times over winter and and lost those leafs because of low light which is why those top stems are dead

i'm thinking the plant has spent most of its energy

where did you overwinter yours ? garage?

Mine is overwintered in an unused room that stays around 60F. Its in a west facing window and only watered about every 10 days to 2 weeks.
