Nobody else has said anything, so I'm going to suggest that the soil might not be ideal (it looks peaty in the picture) and probably not enough light. Hopefully an expert will chime in to either buttress what I've said or correct it!

Your plant looks thirsty to me. Watering once every couple of months is too seldom, I think.

Another reason the plant may look too thirsty is, strangely enough, very water-retentive soil. How long prior to taking the picture did you water? How soon does the soil dry out? If it stays wet too long (longer than a week or a bit more), then it's too water-retentive. Roots need air in addition to water, so I suspect roots may be rotting. Slide the plant out of the pot and check the roots. If there are little live ones left, clean them up and put it into fresh mix and a smaller pot, so that roots are relatively tight. If the pot is too big (and.or the mix does not drain fast enough), the relatively small roots cannot take in all the water, and they start rotting. Rotted off roots means the plant cannot take in water even if plenty is available, so it may look thirsty in that case as well.
