If you plan to have ripe pods, you'll need a pretty powerful lighting system. I use CFL to start my seedlings, but eventually they outgrow the space and have to transition outdoors. The seedlings below are 1.5 months old now, and spent the first night outdoors last night.

I'm not familiar with that leaf distortion, but you might as well use a different water source to rule it out. I've heard that water softeners wreak havoc on plant collections.

Hmm, haven't seen that but Googled it and says it could be a sign of calcium deficiency - not sure if your water softener is taking out the calcium ("hard" water)? Salts sure won't do them any good though so try to use unfiltered water and see how they do.

Another thing to look for is aphids - they can cause similar wrinkling of brand new growth.

If you don't see aphids (they like to hide inside the new leaves while they're still curled tightly), then look on the underside of the older leaves for any blisters - could also be a sign of overwatering.

How often are you watering and fertilizing?

Yes, if the Calcium is too high there will be an imbalance with the Magnesium.
