O.K.
I got this plant today because I fell in love with the pot it was in. And it just so happened to be on clearance at Lowes. :-) But I have no clue what the plant is! lol...
Anyone know?
It's about 8" tall.

Cool pot, JoJo...!
And that looks to be a very nice Dieffenbachia plant!

Thanks Guys!

Miss Lucinda Dieffenbachia, it shall be. ;-) lol...

The pot is a nice heavy one! Needs a drain hole though. So tomorrow I'll track down a drill bit.
5" tall and 4" square, and the large flower in the center is concave. Too cute to pass up. ;-)

Wish me luck getting the plant out! It's brick hard potting mix, and it doesn't seem to be in a pot. I watered it and will let it sit till tomorrow and see how it is and figure out a plan of attack.

I was surprised to see it as clearance, for such a nice plant. But I wasn't going to argue it or question it. lol..

Nice find, JoJo! You may want to do a little research on the plant, itself... I'm no expert on this plant, but if memory serves, there's a warning attached having to do with pet and human toxicity. Isn't it's common name "Dumb Cane"?

Further exploration indicates that the sap of this plant is a mild irritant to skin, and can cause rather unpleasant conditions to occur in pets and children who chew or ingest any part of it. I've attached a link with more information for you.

Just so you are aware... I know you have pets and children, some of your pets being rather sensitive to things like this... as in birds. Just take care with it, JoJo.

It is a nice looking plant, though... and who can resist a pot like that?! :-)

Here is a link that might be useful: Dieffenbachia - toxicity
