Here are the babies too. Not terrible, but not bright green like usual.

And I did battle scale last year with him, but haven't seen a trace of it since. I washed the whole plant in dish soap, roots and all. But he has been fine for over a year now.

There almost looks like an odd yellowness to the babies.

The only suggestion I can think of is that the plant is sitting too wet, although this is just assumption, as I have had similar with a spider plant that had been a bit too soggy between watering.

It was easily resolved by removing all damaged leaf material, and then the plant was flushed to remove any fertilizer build up, and I moved it to a clay pot with new draining (but rich) compost. Water now flows out of the pot, which does mean more watering/feeding!
