Hi, I inherited this plant from my sister, but not sure what it is. Anyone know? I would like to get proper care instructions for the plant. Thank you in advance!

Looks like some kind of Sansevieria (Snake Plant). I believe one or two of the stems have been broken off. I forget what this particular variety is called.

There you go, teengardener said it (I'm not sure how I couldn't remember "cylindrica"...).

Yes, I believe TG's ID is right.

Pls. take all that stuff off the top & discard it (looks like sphagnum moss & likely to add rot to the situation).

I hope that nice pot has a drainage hole or there'll be problems in future.

This plant wants bright, indirect light & water not too frequently, like maybe every 10 days or so to start.

Nice plant, good for you.

Also, there's a Sannsevieria Forum next door (sort of) if you care to come over for a look!

Thanks for the help! The plant was knocked over by the cat, so one of the stems started dying :(

I will look up the forum you mentioned, pirate_girl!
