Our beloved Hoya, specifically Krimson Queen ('KQ' for short). Looks healthy & strong. There's a Hoya Forum nearby (see top of page).

PS, that soil looks too peaty (pls buy some perlite & add at least 1/3 of that much soil in perlite & mix it all up together & repot the cutting in it). Otherwise the soil will hold water too long & the plant won't like it.

Also, I hope there's a drainage hole in the pot. Won't do well w/out one.

This is one of my favorite plants, lucky you found such a healthy piece.

One thing which I learned from this plant is that it shoots out what looks like bare stems before the leaves appear. My first impulse was to cut the stems off but hang on and the leaves will appear to make a great hanging plant.

Sorry I forgot to mention that you don't need to purchase another plant. This plant is really easy to propagate from just putting some cuttings in water. Take a stem with leaves, remove the bottom leaves and put in water until roots appear.( Change the water once a week until roots appear)

Generally a fairly fast growing plant once it develops a good root system.

I used to have a pretty specimen...I only have a Hindu rope hoya now

I'd be really interested in getting a clipping of this plant...would you be willing to trade or do it for postage?
