Help with overground suckers of Alocasia

Posted by hankeat (My Page) on

My few years old Alocasia - Black Velvet has a stem. Now few suckers are growing out from the stem, but they are over the soil. Should I plant the Alocasia deeper, so that the suckers can root?
There are some underground suckers too. Should I split them from the mother plant? Thanks in Advance.

I just pot up because I like a big full plant I think they look better when they are full.

Hank..like Marquest, I too prefer compact plants..
Your plant is nice-looking. I wouldn't mess with it.

If you decide you want more than one Alocasia, the best time to divide is spring. Toni
