I inherited a couple of house plants with the house from my Mom when she passed away. I need help identifying what they are. I have attached some pictures of them here.

Thanks, rhizo_1, but I have looked up what you called it and it said that it was a flowering plant. I have never seen this one flower, and my Mom had it for quite a few years. Sadly I never asked her what it was.

Anyone else have any ideas on what it is?

All day long in my book too.....it's a Sansevieria AKA Mother in Laws Tongue AKA Snake Plant The flowering isn't really noted for being "The Belle of the Ball" but they do flower.

It's also very wet, think of it as an African Savanna Grass in the Rhino roaming areas

Your plant simply isn't in very good condition and might be difficult for you to recognize from the pictures of healthy ones. The leaves should be stiffly upright and sturdy. Mine is blooming on my window sill right now.

Hi Scott,

This is definitely a Snake plant (Sansevieria), which are regarded as foliage plants. Tho' they may bloom, that is not what they're known for. They're known for being good plants for lower light situations & for being pretty indestructible.

Condolences on the loss of your Mother.
