hello peeps,
This guy is well over 10 yrs old, I'm pretty sure he's a Aeschynanthus due to the one time he bloomed, 9 yrs ago. Despite no blooms, he is growing vigorously but I need advice please; his arms are enjoying new vibrant growth on top but the areas closest to soil seem smaller, not as robust. Plus, I have his arms stretched out on bamboo sticks,, the photos aren't too good. I think it's time to cut way back and root the cuttings; Is this a mistake? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance, any advice is deeply appreciated..

Looks like a Philodendron to me, a vine-type plant. If you're not happy with growing it up, you could let it dangle, like in a hanging basket. Taking cuttings would be a fine thing to do if that's what you want. You may find this discussion enlightening, regarding possible things you could do with this vine.

Howdy,
Looks l like Philodendron to me, too.

Can you place a little closer to the window?

It needs a tad more sun/light.

You can also cut back and root stems. Once stems root, place them in the pot with mom, or a seperate container. Either way, your Philo will look fuller.
