I honestly have no idea what could be wrong, nor am I an expert, but it sounds to me like maybe some sort of worm had laid her eggs in the soil? That would make sense then, if they are just hatching and they are tiny.

Would it be possible for you to take a picture of these worms? Otherwise, we'd just be guessing. I will say this, it wouldn't be the first time that earthworms have ended up in houseplants because of carelessly stored potting soil.

Yep, I've had earthworms in pot plants before too. They don't do any harm, of course, but they're certainly a surprise!
... And potting mix with weed seeds could have all sorts of other visitors in it!

I agree with Rhizo. We can't tell what kind of worms your plants have unless we see some pictures.

That looks an awful lot like a small earthworm to me!
If your plants are healthy, it's probably not an issue.

Yes, earthworm. But they don't belong in our plant's containers. They ingest the organic content of a potting mix, recycling it into castings (worm poop). Over time, your porous potting medium could become sludgy. Worms are terrific in the big outdoors, but not in the container.
