Anything Tradescantia seems to grow like a weed I've noticed, haha!

Costa Farms just bought EA recently. Look for the pots/labels to converge.

Kew and theplantlist.org list Cyanotis somaliensis as a synonym of C. repens. Many sources include T. somaliensis as a synonym of C. somaliensis. IDK if geneticists have gotten involved with these plants or not yet. The Commelina family is excellent for providing confusion.

That's exactly what it is. I know I can always count on this forum's knowledge. Thanks again. I like it because it is more succulent than most plants its type. I have no idea why it was marked down already because it is a very healthy plant.

I was going to mention how that was a great deal for $3. Regular price for the hanging baskets from EA are either $9.98 or $14.98 (depends on the size) here.

That's the same thought I had when I saw it. I just grabbed it up. LOL!

Lol, I would have too (even though I shouldn't). I saw some in smaller pots for $3 (I mean like a 4 inch pot small), but I don't have the lighting for such a plant. It's either full on sun outside or not enough inside. It'd probably get leggy with me. *sigh*

Yep, wandering jew is a weed. I have the zebra tradescantia. It got leggy (again) so I cut all the branches off and stuck them in a jar of water. I must've left them in there for upwards of 4 months, and frequently forgot to refill the jar. They turned that gorgeous red color that I think denotes a nutrient deficiency. Anyway, as soon as I stuck it back in a pot with dirt, it wasnt 2 days before it started to change color again, and grow. No adjustment period whatsoever. And I even forgot and left it in direct sun on the third or fourth morning, and from then on (morning sun). Didnt so much as wilt. You can really take them for granted. You can keep them indefinitely, starting a new plant every year. And they can be just as beautiful as they are hardy.
