brought this plant a few weeks ago and i dont know what it is called...can anyone help??

Hi gilactic,

This is an Aeonium 'Zwartkop' I belive.
Yours is very nice!

If you go over to the Cactus and Succulent forum and do a search, you will find alot of information on them.

Aeonium arborescens atropurpureum for sure - probably 'Zwartkop'. How did you know that, JJ? Lol

Yes. If you can muster the courage to chop it off and start the cutting, the old stem will back-bud and give you something that looks like this:
