They got sun burnt when I first put them out before the trees filled up with leaves. They are in the shade now and get some direct sun in the evening.

I love Phals and I grow several one from full sized to minis. I hope you get more than one flower this time. Congratulations on your new spike!

This happened in the 90's..One spring I placed my Orchids in the yard. They couldn't have been more obstructed.

Orchids were set on a third tier of a shelf....tall bushes in back. Taller plants in front and both sides of shelf.

I went out to water, and found half-dozen or whatever amount I had back then, red/brown sun-burned foliage plants.
They were brought back inside, ASAP. lol

Nowadays, the few Orchids I have stay indoors.
